How to make a resume from a template

  1. Pick a template. The classic one suits conservative industries; the modern ones suit marketing, IT and creative jobs.
  2. Fill in the sections. Experience, education, skills, languages and contacts. Add only what matters for the job you want.
  3. Download the PDF. The resume is made as a PDF with its fonts embedded, so it looks the same on any computer or phone.

How to choose a resume template

One page beats two

A recruiter spends less than a minute on a first look. With under ten years of experience, keep it to one page.

A photo depends on where you apply

Photos are expected in Russia and Armenia and usually left out for employers in the US and UK. Choose the template to match.

Keep the colour calm

A theme should pick out the headings, not compete with the text. For formal industries choose the navy and grey themes.
